Costs/Prices

 

Tuition (Fall & Spring)

  • Tuition rates are the same for company dancers as they are for recreational dancers, going off of how many hours per week a dancer is at the studio. Each semester, we will send out an invoice containing the tuition amount. To find exact pricing, please visit our “Rates & Policies” page.

Competition Fees (Spring)

  • There is a fee associated with each time the dancer steps onto the competition stage to perform. Each competition sets their own rates, so we do not have a uniform amount we charge. We will compile a list of prices for the specific competitions we will attend each season, and calculate how much each dancer owes.
    • Below are some examples of competition entry fees…
      • Solo--$150
      • Duet--$65/dancer
      • Trio--$60/dancer
      • Group--$65/dancer
    • Example: Your dancer is in 5 group dances and a duet. Your total fee would be $970 ($65 x 5 + $65 x1 = $390 x 3 (comps) = $1,170 - $300 (from deposit) = $870 + $100 (admin fee) = $970), which covers all your competition fees.
    • We will send this invoice separately as a “Competition Invoice”, rather than combining it with the spring tuition invoice. However, we will combine the two invoices when calculating your monthly payment.

 

Company Deposit

  • A $300.00 check made out to NSDS will be required as a company deposit when turning in your company contract. This money will go towards your “Competition Fees” in the spring semester.

Drop Fees

  • Each dancer will be charged $300 if they quit the Company at any time during the season.
  • There will be a $100 drop fee for any singular companies dropped during the season.

Costume Fees

  • Costume Pricing Guide
    • $115.00 per Company Costume
    • $90.00 per Recreational Costume
    • $80.00 per Nutcracker Costume

  • Invoice
    • Costumes for the entire dance season will be due in the fall semester.
    • The “costumes” invoice will be lumped into the fall tuition invoice, having one invoice for the entire fall semester.

  • Rhinestone Fees
    • Rhinestone can take a costume to the next level. While not all costumes will require stones, some will, at the teachers discretion. A rhinestone flat fee for each costume will be implemented, based on time and material.
      • 0-100 added stones $10.00
      • 100-200 added stones $20.00
      • 200-300 added stones $30.00
        (and so on)
    • This fee will be sent out at the end of February and due by the end of the dance season.

Company Gear

  • Dancewear
    • Appropriate Tights and Shoes will be required, depending on the dance style.
      These items can be purchased in the NSDS store.
  • Accessories
    • Hair Donut/Bun = $2.00
    • Rhinestone Hair Binder = $10.00
    • Rhinestone Earrings = $10.00
  • Company Jackets
    • Each Company member is required to have a Company Jacket. These jackets are around $70-$110. You do NOT need to purchase a new jacket every year.
